On Tuesday, New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood announced that her office had secured an agreement in court for the Trump Foundation to dissolve:
#BREAKING: We’ve secured a stipulation requiring the Trump Foundation to dissolve under judicial supervision, with our review of recipient charities.

This is an important victory for the rule of law. There is one set of rules for everyone.
We’ll continue to move our suit forward to ensure that the Trump Foundation and its directors are held accountable for their clear and repeated violations of state and federal law.

The Trump Foundation, which is also the focus of a tax investigation that reportedly may result in criminal charges, has come under fire for using charitable money for Trump’s personal benefit, including to buy expensive portraits of himself and even settle litigation against his for-profit businesses.
